Who is in your waiting room? Learn the signs of Human Trafficking.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) seeks a broad range of health care providers to participate in a free, two-hour training on human trafficking. This training will teach providers how to identify potential victims and appropriately refer them for services.
Many human trafficking survivors have contact with one or more health care professionals during their captivity. Who is in your waiting room?
Key outcomes of the SOAR to Health and Wellness Training will be to:
1. Describe the scope, diversity, and types of human trafficking in the United States.
2. Recognize the common indicators and high-risk factors for human trafficking.
3. State how using trauma-informed techniques will enhance interaction with a potential victim of human trafficking.
4. Identify local, state and national service referral resources for trafficking victims.
Training Attendees must take a Pre-Training Survey, Post-Training Survey, and 3-Month Follow Up Survey.
